The current owners of “The Point” (formerly Executive House), the large apartment building located at 6100 City Ave. have applied for a zoning variance to install a large wall mounted vinyl billboard on the side of their building among other signage requests. They presented to the OFC Board, community members, our local ward representative, as well as City Ave Services District. All were unanimously, and strongly opposed to the large wall mounted signage facing our Train station. After communicating our opposition, we have not heard back from the current owners.
The hearing is scheduled for Tuesday, February 21st at 9:30AM at 1515 Arch Street (hearing room on the 18th floor). If you can attend to enter your appearance in opposition it would communicate the community’s strong opposition to granting this variance.
In addition, we have created a petition and you can sign and demonstrate your opposition. Please know that you can both sign the petition and attend the hearing in opposition.
